Four words that have ended more investigations than any lawyer ever has.
How many times have those words protected reputations instead of pursuing truth? How many voices have been silenced while accountability disappeared behind closed doors?
But here is what we must never forget: What is hidden from the world is never hidden from God.
We can manage appearances, control narratives, and protect our reputations. But we cannot hide our hearts from the One who sees everything.
Look to the cross. 💔
Look at the crown of thorns pressed into the head of our Savior. Remember the injustice He endured, the betrayal He suffered, and the love He showed even in His darkest hour.
The world may conceal the truth, but Jesus is the light.
Perhaps we all need a wake-up call. Not just to recognize the darkness around us, but to examine what we tolerate within our own hearts.
Do we stand for truth when it costs us something? Do we speak when silence is easier? Do we seek justice even when doing so makes others uncomfortable?
Faith should never be an excuse to look away. Forgiveness does not erase accountability, and grace does not require us to pretend that wrong is right.
God’s love is boundless. His truth is not negotiable.
So when someone says, “We’ll handle it internally,” remember that genuine accountability has nothing to fear from the light.
And when humanity disappoints you, look to Jesus.
The crown of thorns reminds us of the cruelty this world can inflict. The cross reminds us of a love this world could never extinguish.
🕊️ May we never become so busy protecting appearances that we forget to stand for what is right.
The world needs truth. Our hearts need awakening. And our souls need the Savior. ❤️
