Women in the Bible:
Haven Hearts Devotional Series
Women Like Us
The women of the Bible were not untouched by pain.
They were betrayed, silenced, overlooked, displaced, and wounded by systems they did not create; yet God met them there.
In this Haven Hearts devotional series, we step into the stories of women Scripture often mentions briefly, but whose lives echo loudly with trauma we still carry today.
These women knew betrayal, neglect, generational dysfunction, female-specific trauma, and systemic injustice. Some were harmed by family. Some by religion. Some by power. Many were harmed; and then forgotten.
And still—God saw them.
This series is not about fixing yourself or forcing faith over wounds. It is about being witnessed. About allowing God to gently reintroduce Himself in places where trust was broken; by people, by institutions, or even by misused Scripture.
Each devotional invites you to:
Sit with women who were misunderstood, marginalized, or dismissed
Name trauma without shame or spiritual bypassing
Encounter a God who does not demand silence from the wounded
Begin restoring what trauma tried to erase: identity, voice, worth, and belonging
This is sacred ground.
You are not late.
You are not too much.
And your story belongs here.
Welcome to Haven Hearts; a refuge for the tender places God refuses to abandon.
